Serum sialic acid levels were measured in 80 healthy subjects, 60 patients with benign tumors and 110 oral cancer. It was shown that these significantly elevated cancer compared to controls (p < 0.01); they higher stage III IV disease than those I II 0.01). However, no difference observed between patients.
