Abstract We investigate the influence of silica sol addition on ceramic coatings Mg–Li alloy by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) in an alkaline silicate electrolyte. Scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy, and energy dispersive spectroscopy are employed to characterize microstructure composition coatings. The anti‐corrosion behavior is evaluated potentiodynamic polarization measurements conjunction with electrochemical impedance analysis. coating...

The accurate measurement of stress is an essential requirement residual studying. In this paper, Cu thin films with different thickness were prepared by magnetron sputtering. micromorphologies the observed using atomic force microscopy, and microstructures analysed transmission electron microscopy X-ray diffraction. distributions measured curvature nanoindentation methods. results show that present polycrystalline state, grains size grew up increasing film thickness. calculation from tests...

Developing high-performance solvents for extraction and optimizing process technologies is crucial efficient extractive distillation (ED) separation of azeotrope mixtures. In this paper, computer-aided screening was used to study the ED mixtures in ethyl acetate ethanol systems using organic solvent dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) ionic liquid (IL) ([EMIM][Ac]). The structural relationship between ILs mixture analyzed by σ-profile, molecular surface electrostatic potential, interaction energy,...

Abstract Multiwall carbon nanotubes supported Pd–Co electrocatalysts (Pd–Co/MWCNTs) for hydrazine electrooxidation in alkaline electrolytes were prepared. Their morphology and structure characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission microscope, X‐ray diffraction. The effect of the mass ratio Pd to Co on catalytic performance was examined via cyclic voltammetric chronoamperometric measurements. Pd–Co/MWCNTs with a 1:1 Pd:Co shows higher than both Pd/MWCNTs Co/MWCNTs it has good...

Hydrogen production at low potential was realized by urea oxidation coupled water electrolysis. Transition metal phosphides ((NiFe) 2 P) were prepared regulating polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) addition during the materials preparation, and their electrocatalytic performance for hydrogen investigated. It found that material with PVP of 300 mg shows best catalytic activity. The required to reach 100 mA cm −2 in KOH+urea solution is only 1.433 V an impedance value 4.128 Ω, which 103 mV lower than...
