High-dimensionally structured Mo–Fe oxide (HDS-MoFeO) was synthesized through an assembly of structural units supplied from Keplerate-type polyoxometalate, {Mo72Fe30}, under appropriate hydrothermal condition. 水熱合成により,5員環ユニット({Mo6O21}6−)と酸素八面体の配列により形成される高次構造Mo–Cr複合酸化物(HDS-MoCrO)の合成に成功した。水熱合成時間を変化させて得られた固体と液体を分析することで,水熱合成初期にはアンダーソン型ヘテロポリ酸((NH4)3H6CrMo6O24 · 7H2O)が生成し,経時によってケプラレート型ヘテロポリ酸(Mo72Cr30O252)が,さらにはHDS-MoCrOが形成されることが分かった。ケプラレート型ヘテロポリ酸およびHDS-MoCrOとも{Mo6O21}6−で構成されていることから,水熱条件下,ケプラレート型ヘテロポリ酸が分解して{Mo6O21}6−を供給することで,HDS-MoCrOが形成されると考察した。構成元素の異なる3種の高次構造複合酸化物であるHDS-MoO,HDS-MoFeO,HDS-MoCrOを用いてエタノール選択酸化反応を行ったところ,これらはいずれも同様の触媒活性を示したが生成物の選択性は異なった。HDS-MoCrOは広い温度域で高いアセトアルデヒド収率(91 %)を示し,その収率は少なくとも60 hは安定していた。
