The dependence of the high-frequency electric conductivity and optical constants a weakly ionized gas on microwave frequency, electron-molecule collision electron concentration, an external magnetic field are discussed. Measurements between 23.10 92.96 kMc/sec indicate that effective frequency in acetylene-air flame is independent velocity within limits error. Cyclotron resonance free electrons has been found low-pressure flames at 24 kMc/sec. This effect can be used to determine both...

Abstract A calibration methodology developed for custom-made heat flux sensors used the investigation of hydrothermal spallation drilling is presented. An air jet stagnation convection system allowing independent control velocity and temperature, cooling water flow stand off distance, nozzle diameter was built. thermopile device as reference sensor. Air jets with velocities up to 400 m/s, exit temperatures 760°C, fluxes 0.6 MW/m2 can be reached. The standard deviation a measurement below 2%,...

Power balance measurements have been carried out for helium discharges in the C-Stellarator over a wide range of Ohmic heating currents. The results show that power input can be satisfactorily accounted terms dissipated radiation, ionization, and helium. loss due to impurity radiation is negligible; charge exchange shown insignificant (except possibly at very low currents). Other mechanisms appear play no major role analysis.

Ongoing mission such as TESS [1], CHEOPS [2] and JWST [3] well forthcoming missions PLATO [4] ARIEL [5] have remarkably expanded our capacity to investigate planetary objects beyond solar system, revealing new classes of planets, including hot-Jupiters [6, 7, 8, 9], mini-Neptunes [10, 11, 12] super-Earths.  Excitingly, among these several thousands detected exoplanets, there are some rocky planets orbiting their star within the habitable zone. As atmospheres likely play a pivotal...

In the search for organic compounds associated with origin and self-preservation of lifeforms in our solar system, inorganic materials are widely recognized as an important factor influencing chemical stability such compounds, so called biosignatures, under hostile space conditions like extreme temperature, pressure radiation[1]. Here, spaceborne experiments laboratory simulations play a crucial role to investigate underlying interaction mechanisms specific [2-4] order support efforts...

In addition to impurity trapping, surfaces exposed the boundary layer of a tokamak and other fusion devices are subjected erosion phenomena. On local surface regions which do not experience unipolar arcing, these processes due energetic fluxes plasma particles induce sputtering. Data presented on collection probe experiments in TCA demonstrate that this behavior may be evaluated from knowledge shot dependence areal concentrations impact energies trapped within surface.
