In this work we present new coupled channel calculations with the São Paulo potential (SPP) as bare interaction, and an imaginary system energy independent normalization that has been developed to take into account dissipative processes in heavy-ion reactions. This is based on high-energy nucleon interaction nuclear medium. Our theoretical predictions for energies up ≈100MeV/nucleon agree very well experimental data p,n+nucleus, 16O + 27Al, 60Ni, 58Ni 124Sn, weakly bound projectile 7Li 120Sn systems.

In this work we present optical model analysis of new near barrier‐quasi‐elastic experimental data, for the systems 6,7Li+120Sn. From it was possible to extract ground state nucleon densities weakly bound 6,7Li isotopes. The apparent discrepancies between densities, as compared with those based on Dirac‐Hartree‐Fock‐Bouguliubov (DHB) calculations were removed, considering in reaction mechanism, projectile break‐up and a positive polarization from couplings states continuum.

In this work, the performance of new coupled channel calculations in describing heavy‐ion experimental data for energies up to 100 MeV/A, with real and imaginary potential based on São Paulo Potential (SPP), is presented. The potential, no adjustable parameter, which describes dissipative processes such as deep‐inelastic (DIC) or break‐up, inspired high energy nucleon multi‐scattering theory.
