Recent studies have indicated that atopic sensitisation is uncommon while respiratory symptoms are common among schoolchildren in Eastern Europe. Risk factors for and were evaluated a cross sectional study involving 2594 (10-12 years) from Sweden (n = 665), Poland 410), Estonia 1519). The measurements included parental questionnaires skin prick tests with eight standardised allergens. Multiple logistic analyses demonstrated heredity was significant independent risk factor all the countries....

Background: In patients with symptoms suggestive of cystic fibrosis (CF) and intermediate sweat chloride values (30–60 mmol/l), extensive CFTR gene mutation analysis nasal potential difference (NPD) measurement are used as additional diagnostic tests a positive result in either test provides evidence dysfunction. To define the phenotype such confirm validity grouping them, whom CF was abnormal were compared subjects this not case classic CF. Methods: The phenotypic features four groups...

We study the impact of ambient fluid on evolution collapsing false vacuum bubbles by simulating dynamics a coupled bubble-particle system. A significant increase in mass particles across bubble wall leads to buildup those inside bubble. show that backreaction slows or even reverses collapse. Consequently, if true become heavier than vacuum, particle-wall interactions always decrease compactness can reach, making their collapse black holes less likely.

A bstract We study the evolution of growing vacuum bubbles. The bubble walls interact with surrounding fluid and may, consequently, reach a terminal velocity. If mean free path particles in is much shorter than wall thickness, locally thermal equilibrium wall’s velocity can be determined by entropy conservation. On other hand, if local inside cannot maintained, estimated from pressure impacted ballistic particle dynamics at wall. find that latter case leads to slightly slower walls....

Background Epidemiological studies have demonstrated a low prevalence of allergic diseases and atopic sensitization among schoolchildren young adults in the formerly socialist countries Central Eastern Europe as compared to Western Europe. Objective The aim our study was prospectively investigate IgE responses food inhalant allergens development allergy during early childhood population with disorders. Methods In population‐based prospective , 273 children were followed from birth through...
