A comparative study of the effect drawing and rotary forging on structure, mechanical corrosion properties a new biodegradable magnesium alloy Mg–2Zn–2Ga was carried out. The original 6 mm diameter bars obtained by hot extrusion were reduced to diameters in range 5.5–3.3 or forging. Optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy EBSD grain orientation mapping used characterize material microstructure. Tensile testing performed determine properties. optimum temperature for annealing after...
In the present study, pins made from novel Mg-2Zn-2Ga alloy were installed within femoral bones of six Wistar rats. The level bioresorption was assessed after 1, 3, and 6 months by radiography, histology, SEM, EDX. Significant evident 3 months, complete dissolution occurred at installation. No pronounced gas cavities could be found pin installation sites throughout postoperative period. animals' blood parameters showed no signs inflammation or toxication. These findings are sufficiently...
The development direction of bioresorbable fixing structures is currently very relevant because it corresponds to the priority areas in worldwide biotechnology development. Magnesium (Mg)-based alloys are gaining high levels attention due their promising potential use as basis for fixating structures. These can be an alternative non-degradable metal implants orthopedics, maxillofacial surgery, neurosurgery, and veterinary medicine. In our study, we formulated a Mg-2Zn-2Ga alloy, prepared...
This study investigates the optimization of Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) process parameters to enhance mechanical properties Russian Ni superalloy VZh159 (a close analogue IN718) material that is commonly used in critical aerospace applications, and corresponding studies grain structure within near melt pool formed by a single laser scan line. Through factorial experimental approach, influence power scanning speed on tensile strength, yield ductility was determined. Metallurgically sound...
