Depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and alcohol/substance use disorders are prevalent among people with HIV (PWH), commonly co-occur, predict worse care outcomes. Transdiagnostic counseling approaches simultaneously address multiple co-occurring mental health disorders.
Background HIV treatment engagement is critical for people with HIV; however, behavioral health comorbidities and HIV-related stigma are key barriers to engagement.
