Topological insulators are unique electronic materials with insulating interiors and robust metallic surfaces. Device applications exploiting their remarkable properties have so far been hampered by the difficulty to electrically tune Fermi levels of both bulk thin film samples. Here we show experimentally that single-crystal nanowires topological insulator Bi2Se3 can be used as conduction channel in high-performance field effect transistor (FET), a basic circuit building block. Its...

This paper presents a systematic online prediction method (Social-Forecast) that is capable to accurately forecast the popularity of videos promoted by social media. Social-Forecast explicitly considers dynamically changing and evolving propagation patterns in media when making forecasts, thereby being situation context aware. aims maximize reward, which defined as tradeoff between accuracy timeliness with issued. The forecasting performed requires no training phase or priori knowledge. We...

Online social networks (OSNs) have become popular destinations for connecting friends and sharing information. Recent statistics suggest that OSN users regularly share contents from video sites, a significant amount of requests the sites are indeed them nowadays. These behaviors substantially changed workload online services. To better understand this paradigm shift, we conduct long-term extensive measurement in RenRen, largest Facebook-like China. In paper, focus on popularity distribution...

In many systems, from brain neural networks to epidemic transmission networks, pairwise interactions are insufficient express complex relationships. Nodes sometimes cooperate and form groups increase their robustness risks, each such group can be considered a “supernode”. Furthermore, previous studies of cascading failures in interdependent have typically concentrated on node coupling connections; however, realistic scenarios, occur between the edges connecting nodes rather than themselves....
