We show that laminar vortex rings can be generated by impulsive body forces having particular spatial and temporal characteristics. Numerical simulations analytical models the strength of these accurately predicted considering diffusion alone, despite nonlinear nature generation process. It is found when duration force less than a time scale based on radius fluid viscosity, ring circulation using an inviscid model.
