Abstract Entrainment and detrainment rates ( ε δ ) constitute the most critical free parameters in mass flux schemes commonly employed for cumulus parameterizations. Recently, Zhu et al. (2021) introduced a new approach that utilizes aircraft observations to simultaneously estimate clouds, overcoming limitation of other observation‐based approaches solely yield without offering insights into . This study aims comprehensively evaluate reliability this approach. First, evaluation using an...

Piezoelectric actuators are particularly interesting in high-speed precision flow control valves due to their fast dynamic response and simple structure. However, concurrently improving the bandwidth rate has been a challenging issue. In this article, novel two-stage valve driven by amplified piezoelectric actuator is proposed, fabricated, tested with step time of 5 ms, 70 L/min, 155 Hz at supply pressure 30 bar. An improved rhombus-type compliant mechanism double output ports proposed...

Abstract The Tibetan Plateau (TP) significantly impacts the global climate. TP's unique geographical conditions make it one of areas with largest precipitation biases in numerical models. overestimation and distribution models are closely related to parameterization convection processes over TP. In light this, a new deep convective entrainment rate suitable for region is developed based on observational data applied Grell‐Freitas Ensemble Scheme Weather Research Forecasting Model. scheme...

Harvesting electrical energy from stray magnetic fields around the power cable is attractive in developing sustainable sources for wireless sensor network. Magneto-mechano-electric (MME) generators, consisting of cantilevered magnetoelectric (ME) composite with permanent magnet mass, are promising efficiently converting low-frequency into energy. However, density needs further improvement practical applications. Here, enhanced MME generator reported by optimizing resonant frequency via...

For the application of high-frequency current detection in power systems, such as very fast transient current, lightning partial discharge pulse etc., sensors with a quick response are indispensable. Here, we propose magnetoelectric sensor, which consists PZT piezoelectric ceramic and Metglas amorphous alloy. The proposed sensor is designed to work under d15 thickness-shear mode, resonant frequency around 1.029 MHz. Furthermore, fabricated sensor. A comparative experiment carried out between...

Reducing artificial pressure fluctuations (RAPF) is one of the key challenges in simulating atmospheric boundary layer turbulence. This study, based on synthetic turbulence method, compares performance three RAPF methods: inlet mass correction (IMC), divergence-free (DFC), and local (LPC). First, large eddy simulations an empty domain show that IMC DFC methods effectively suppress unrealistic throughout flow field. As develops downstream, decay rapidly become almost insignificant....

The objective of this work is to define assembly body processing center by using the contact and node coupling combined method. information displacement, stress strain can be got static analysis. Besides, we check strength key parts through theory. Modal analysis results indicate that resonance would caused in machine tools when external drive frequency 36.477 Hz, 41.436 Hz 44.796 which are serious accidents. Harmonic response indicates certain 41Hz should avoided practice.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have proven their exceptional capabilities in performing language-related tasks. However, deployment poses significant challenges due to considerable memory and storage requirements. In response this issue, weight-only quantization, particularly 3 4-bit has emerged as one of the most viable solutions. As number bits decreases, quantization grid broadens, thus emphasizing importance up down rounding. While previous studies demonstrated that fine-tuning rounding...
