Abstract Powdery mildew is a devastating disease that affects wheat yield and quality. Wheat wild relatives represent valuable sources of resistance genes. Cloning characterization these genes will facilitate their incorporation into breeding programs. Here, we report the cloning Pm57 , powdery gene from Aegilops searsii . It encodes tandem kinase protein with putative kinase-pseudokinase domains followed by von Willebrand factor A domain (WTK-vWA), being ortholog Lr9 mediates leaf rust...

Environmental stresses, especially heat and drought, severely limit plant growth negatively affect wheat yield quality worldwide. Heat shock factors (Hsfs) play a central role in regulating responses to various stresses. In this study, the factor gene TaHsfA2e-5D on chromosome 5D was isolated functionally characterized, with goal of investigating its drought Gene expression profiling showed that expressed constitutively tissues, most highly roots at reproductive stage. The up-regulated...

Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to find the optimal extraction process of Oudemansiella raphanipies polysaccharides (ORPs). The results showed that parameters were an alkali concentration 0.02 mol/L, a ratio material liquid 1:112.7 g/mL, temperature 66.0 °C, and time 4.0 h. Under conditions, yield ORPs raised 16.2 ± 0.1%. antioxidant activities ORPs-I~V determined compared, ORPs-V further purified by chromatography, with average molecular weight (Mw) 18.86 kDa. structure Fourier...

<title>Abstract</title> Powdery mildew is a devastating disease that affects wheat yield and quality. Despite wild relatives being valuable source of resistance genes, their incorporation into improvement constrained by adverse effects on agronomic traits, difficulty in isolating genes poor understanding the mechanisms. Here, we report cloning Pm57, first gene isolated from Aegilops searsii. It encodes an unusual tandem kinase (WTK) protein with putative kinase-pseudokinase domains followed...

Powdery mildew of wheat is a foliar disease that spread worldwide. Cultivation resistant varieties the most effective, economical, and environmentally friendly strategy to curb this disease. resistance genes ( Pm ) are primary resources for breeding, new in constant demand. Previously, we identified Aegilops longissima chromosome 6S l #3 as carrier powdery designated gene Pm6Sl . Here, reported design 24 markers specific on basis full-length cDNA sequences donor Ae longissma accession...

With the global population on rise, an escalating interest exists in environmentally sustainable and friendly protein sources. Insects have emerged as multifaceted resources, viewed not only potential food items, but also sources of traditional medicines proteins. This study utilized response surface methodology (RSM) to ascertain optimal extraction conditions for proteins from Musca domestica used toad feeding, denoted MDPs-T. The yield MDPs-T was elevated 18.3% ± 0.2% under these optimized...
