A Nanobeam X-ray Experiments (NXE) instrument was developed and installed at the hard beamline of Pohang Accelerator Laboratory Free Electron Laser. This consists a diagnostic system, focusing optics, an diffraction endstation femtosecond laser delivery system. The NXE enables sophisticated experiments using nanofocused X-rays. At 9.5 keV energy, beam successfully focused to 390 nm × 230 focal plane Kirkpatrick-Baez mirrors. Following successful commissioning in December 2021 April 2022,...

Ultrafast photoinduced melting provides an essential platform for studying nonequilibrium phase transitions by linking the kinetics of electron dynamics to ionic motions. Knowledge dynamic balance in their energetics is understanding how reaction influenced femtosecond photoexcited electrons with notable time lag depending on mechanisms. Here, directly imaging fluctuating density distributions and evaluating pressure Gibbs free energy from two-temperature molecular that verified experimental...

Various X-ray techniques are employed to investigate specimens in diverse fields. Generally, scattering and absorption/emission processes occur due the interaction of X-rays with matter. The output signals from these contain structural information electronic structure specimens, respectively. combination complementary improves understanding complex systems holistically. In this context, we introduce a multiplex imaging instrument that can collect small-/wide-angle diffraction emission...

Performance of an electron linear accelerator is very important for synchrotron light source application. Its performance will determine the reproducibility filling pattern in booster synchrotron. The then affect control storage ring. RF feed-forward can effectively improve accelerator. Design consideration and details implementation be summarized this report.
