Navigation fixed from range differences to three stations and an additional piece of information are investigated. It is shown that if the navigator altitude, or difference a fourth station, computation navigation fix reduced finding roots quadratic. If another on Earth ellipsoid, can be obtained by solving quartic. By emphasizing underlying geometric interpretations, these fixes their simple solutions made clear. The derivations also show same solution algorithms applicable basic...

Traditional slope stability analysis methods are time-consuming, complex, and cannot provide fast estimates when facing a large amount of cases. In this case, artificial neural networks (ANN) better alternative. Based on the ANN, particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, principal component (PCA) method, novel PCA-PANN model is proposed. Then, dataset 307 cases covering wide range geometries mechanical properties geomaterial developed. The hybrid machine learning trained with applied to...

The two main parameters of grouting volume and pressure are the keys to ensuring quality postgrouting. However, there is no equation for predicting long large-diameter postgrouting drilled shafts. In this paper, field data 708 shafts in 128 projects were systematically investigated utilizing mathematical statistics, equations termination suitable various soil layers proposed. range coefficients classified by types was defined. When establishing a shaft, influences cement grout weight pipe...

You try to find an alternative subway route the JFK airport on Google Maps, but app fails provide suitable recommendation that takes into account and your preferences avoid crowded stations. We many such situations, current navigation apps may fall short fail give reasonable recommendation. To fill this gap, paper, we develop prototype, TraveLLM, plan routing of public transit face relies Large Language Models (LLMs)....

In this paper, a method is proposed for offline signature verification. It based on smoothness criterion. observed that the cursive segments of forgery signatures are generally less smooth and natural than genuine ones, especially those consist graphic patterns. Two approaches to extract feature: crossing fractal dimension method. When feature combined with other global shape features verification, satisfactory results obtained.

This paper aims to develop a learning method for special class of traveling salesman problems (TSP), namely, the pickup-and-delivery TSP (PDTSP), which finds shortest tour along sequence one-to-one nodes. One-to-one here means that transported people or goods are associated with designated pairs pickup and delivery nodes, in contrast indistinguishable can be delivered any In PDTSP, precedence constraints need satisfied each node must visited before its corresponding node. Falls pose a significant threat to human safety, making rapid and accurate detection response essential. Time Exploration Network (TExNet), an attention-enhanced network tailored for identifying falls accurately rapidly, is proposed in this paper. Unlike existing studies that rely on simulated environments, TExNet addresses the gap between real scenarios by integrating multi-branch timing classification characteristics. It features two-branch adaptive fusion framework, leveraging...
