On the basis of statistical analysis, studies features distribution typhoons in Spratly Archipelago (the South China Sea) for period 1884–2020 were carried out using satellite information. As a result, it was revealed that 229 observed over water area Islands during this period. Of these, 27 had maximum speed 33 m/s. A clear trend is identified towards an increasing number typhoons, which could be major source regional climate risks future. This probably due to intense development East Asian...
Extracts of Stevia rebaudiana are rich in sweet-tasting steviol glycosides (SG), which widely valued as natural sweeteners. This study investigated the effects different light conditions on stevia growth and SG production across stages using a controlled hydroponic system. Four were introduced at low photosynthetic photon flux density 50 μmol·m−2·s−1. was divided into four stages, leaf weight yield analyzed. Red resulted highest fresh weights 23.53 g·plant−1, whereas green lowest 17.15...
Begonis laxiflora is described as a new species endemic to Vietnam from granite boulder habitats in the Dakrong district. It most similar B. abbreviata its creeping habit, broadly ovate leaves, persistent bracts, and number of tepals both staminate pistillate flowers. The different inflorescence having internodes much longer than bracts (vs. are hidden by bracts), outer glabrous flowers sparsely scabrescent on abaxial surface), ovary covered with minutely glandular trichomes hirsute) wings...
Nha Trang Bay is a semi-envelop coastal basin. It located on the west coast of South China Sea as well in south central part Vietnamese coast. The climate bay belongs to sub-equatorial zone or equatorial-tropical monsoons. Determination meteorological characteristics an ocean region, especially for nearshore waters, plays very important role sustainable development social-economical system Vietnam. This paper presents spatial and temporal long-term analysis several Bay, such wind, tropical...
This paper presents results of research the wave regime in Vietnamese waters (South China Sea) based on data numerical modeling using WAM model (WAVE Modeling). The domain covers basin South Sea (SCS). bathymetry SCS used is ETOPO5 digital database. Wind parameters are six-hour NCEP/NCAR reanalysis with a resolution ΔX = ΔY 0.25° over period 1979–2021. field measurements were collected by Institute Oceanography Vietnam Academy Science and Technology southern central 2013. statistical...
