Global substitution of leucine for analogues containing CH2F instead methyl groups delivers proteins with multiple sites monitoring by 19F nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The 19 kDa Escherichia coli peptidyl–prolyl cis–trans isomerase B (PpiB) was prepared uniform high-level (2S,4S)-5-fluoroleucine, (2S,4R)-5-fluoroleucine, or 5,5′-difluoroleucine. stability the samples toward thermal denaturation little altered compared to wild-type protein. spectra showed large chemical...

The structures of ten phosphane chalcogenide complexes gold(III) halides, with general formula R 1 3– n 2 P E Au X 3 ( = t -butyl; i -propyl; 0 to 3; S or Se; Cl Br) are presented. eight possible chlorido derivatives are: 9a , 3, S; 10a 2, 11a 1, 12a 0, 13a 14a 15a and 16a Se, the corresponding bromido 9b – 16b in same order. Structures were obtained for (and a second polymorph 10aa ), its deuterochloroform monosolvate 11aa (as dichloromethane monosolvate), 15aa which solvent molecule is...

A facile route towards highly functionalized 3(2 H )-furanones via a sequential Mannich addition–palladium catalyzed ring closing has been elaborated. The reaction of 4-chloroacetoacetate esters with imines derived from aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes under palladium catalysis afforded 4-substituted furanones in good to excellent yields. 4-Hydrazino-3(2 could also be synthesized diazo yields by utilising the developed strategy. We efficiently transform substituted aza-prostaglandin analogues.
