The paper presents research on the fabrication of a hard alloy using method spark plasma sintering (SPS) composite powder mixture based WC–4wt.%TiC–3wt.%TaC–12wt.%Co system, which was pre-activated by high-energy ball milling. starting mixture, mechanically processed in planetary mill, consolidated at temperatures 1000, 1100, 1150 and 1200 °C under constant external pressing pressure (57.3 MPa) vacuum (10–5 atm).
