Abstract The unluckiest star orbits a supermassive black hole elliptically. Every time it reaches the pericenter, shallowly enters tidal radius and gets partially tidally disrupted, producing series of flares. Confirmation repeated partial disruption event (pTDE) requires not only evidence to rule out other types transients but also proof that one is involved, as TDEs from multiple stars can produce similar In this Letter, we report discovery pTDE, AT 2022dbl. quiescent galaxy at z = 0.0284,...

A simple but effective approach is proposed for measuring the geometric distortion of a CCD field view ground-based telescope. For three open clusters (M35, M67, and NGC 2324), 425 frames taken by 1 m telescope at Yunnan Observatory are used to test this approach. It found that pattern depends strongly on corresponding filter used. The then correct pixel positions Phoebe, ninth satellite Saturn, its reference stars imaged in 220 same standard deviation (O − C; observed minus computed)...

ABSTRACT A sample of 17 Fanaroff–Riley type I (FR I) radio galaxies constructed from the 3CR catalogue, which is characterized by edge-darkened structures, studied. The optical core luminosities derived Hubble Space Telescope observation are used to estimate Eddington ratios found be below 10−3.4 for this sample. This supported Baldwin–Phillips–Terlevich diagnostic diagrams with spectroscopic Telescopio Nazionale Galileo, suggesting that these sources low-ionization nuclear emission-line...

In this paper, we present 526 precise CCD positions of Galilean satellite-pairs Jupiter, which have been extracted from 441 frames captured by a 1-m telescope at the Yunnan Observatory 2002 to 2010. The four satellites (Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto) are used calibrate field view comparing their pixel with theoretical computed two modern ephemerides satellites, L2 JUP230, developed Institut de Mechanique Celeste et Calcul des Ephemerides Jet Propulsion Laboratory, respectively. focus on...
