In the literature, two different frameworks exist for describing rheology of solid/liquid suspensions: (1) “viscous” framework in terms relative suspension viscosity, ηr, as a function reduced solid volume fraction, ϕ/ϕm, with ϕm maximum flowable packing and (2) “frictional” macroscopic friction coefficient, μ, viscous number, Iv, defined ratio shear to wall-normal particle stress.
