In this paper, a fully integrated monocycle pulse based impulse radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) transmitter designed and fabricated with SMIC 0.13-μm RF CMOS technology is reported for UWB application specified in China. The generated binary phase modulated by all-digital generator modulator low power consumption. A driver amplifier followed to filter further shape the pulses.
