Using the three-triplet model and unique assignments in this for resonances $N(1466)$, ${Z}_{0}(1863)$, ${Z}_{1}(1910)$, entire three-particle antisymmetric representation 816 of SU(18) is predicted, including known ${Z}_{1}(2190)$, ${Z}_{1}(2280)$, $N(1751){\frac{1}{2}}^{+}$, $N(1863){\frac{3}{2}}^{+}$, $\ensuremath{\Delta}(1934){\frac{1}{2}}^{+}$. The four $Z$ are predicted to have ${J}^{P}={\frac{1}{2}}^{+}, {\frac{1}{2}}^{+}, \mathrm{and} {\frac{3}{2}}^{+}$, respectively.
The product of the photoproduction cross section at 11.1 GeV for $\ensuremath{\psi}(3105)$ on nucleons times branching ratio $\ensuremath{\psi}$ into ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ is less than 75 pb, 90% confidence level. This result implies a $\ensuremath{\psi}$-nucleon total 1.2 mb.
${\ensuremath{\rho}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ photoproduction from hydrogen and deuterium at 9.6 GeV is studied. The reactions $\ensuremath{\gamma}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{+}n$ $\ensuremath{\gamma}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\Delta}}^{++}(1236)$ have cross sections much larger than expected pion exchange alone. $t$ distributions do not show the sharp forward peak characteristic of one-pion contributions. Density...
To construct a finite local relativistic quantum field theory we may introduce an indefinite-metric vector space, but then to avoid conflict with unitarity must consider only selected subset of states be physical. The remaining participate in the dynamics are not among complete set physical as far probability interpretation is concerned. These called shadow states. $S$ matrix should unitary when restricted In this paper formulate and solve several simple models theories demonstrate manner...
The newly discovered psion family can be described by mass-squared linear Regge trajectories. new ${J}^{\mathrm{PC}}$ assignments are for 2.8 GeV/${\mathit{c}}^{2}$, ${0}^{++}$, and the 3.4 region, ${2}^{++}$, ${1}^{\ensuremath{-}+}$, ${0}^{++}$. All radiative decays related through a single ${S}_{\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\nu}}{F}_{\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\nu}}$ coupling. A good fit is obtained.
An improved upper limit for ψ photoproduction near threshold is presented.Received 18 February 1975DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.34.1134©1975 American Physical Society
Ma has shown that, in the case of an exponential potential, s-wave S matrix there exist poles that do not contribute to completeness, even though they appear same part k plane as bound state poles. These were called ``redundant'' Subsequently, other examples redundant have appeared literature. Recently their importance with regard concept ``shadow'' states been stressed by Sudarshan. If we construct Green's function for Schrödinger equation boundary conditions regularity at origin and...
By adapting the methods of preceding paper, we use concepts shadow states and indefinite metric to construct a simple static theory low-energy pion-nucleon scattering. This $s$- $p$-wave scattering so constructed is both finite exactly soluble. Scattering at negative energy also well-defined process. The calculated amplitude found satisfy substitution law be covariant, unitary, analytic in almost all neighborhoods physical energies. When given masses coupling constants as input, this...
Ginger, galangal, and turmeric (Figure 1) are emerging crops for Florida production. All of these plants in the Zingiberaceae family share most aspects their This bulletin describes production containers or field under conditions to help guide growers interested ginger, turmeric, galangal expanding market. species have been evaluated by UF/IFAS Assessment Non-native Plants Florida’s Natural Areas (UF/IFAS Assessment) using Predictive Tool (an invasion risk assessment) all present a low...
From the equal-time charge commutator ${[{\stackrel{\ifmmode \dot{}\else \.{}\fi{}}{V}}_{{\overline{K}}^{0}}{A}_{{\overline{K}}^{0}}]}_{\ensuremath{-}}=0$ G\"ursey-Radicati $\mathrm{SU}(6)$ mass formula for 56 baryon multiplet is rederived by making asymptotic $\mathrm{SU}(3)$ approximation. The approximation to assume that SU(3) vector raising and lowering operators ${V}_{K}$ still act in broken symmetry as generators matrix elements an appropriately chosen infinite-momentum limit.
We have pointed out earlier that the decrease at high energies in ratio of charged-particle energy to total $e\overline{e}$ annihilation into hadrons and rise $R$ 4-GeV region suggest first charm, then color, excitation. present here an analysis pair-production thresholds for quarks (responsible $\ensuremath{\mu}e$ events) diquarks (threshold near 4.3 GeV) based on simple mass spectrum generated by popular color-octet vector-meson-exchange mechanism, but context data integrally charged...
We propose a new analysis of $R$ in the 4-GeV region based on relativistic dispersion relation for psion propagator. In this we introduce exotic resonances $D{\overline{D}}^{*}$ (or ${D}^{+}{D}^{\ensuremath{-}}$) and $F{\overline{F}}^{*}$ ${F}^{+}{F}^{\ensuremath{-}}$) channels. The do not directly mix with photon but couple through psion.
In nonrelativistic potential theory there can exist singularities of the S matrix which are associated with wavefunctions belonging to a non-L2 class. this paper character these is shown persist in several relativistic models: (1) two schemes, including that Klein-Gordon equation and coupling classical field an external exponential source, (2) pair theory, quantized, separable interactions, (3) Lee model. For (3), poles ``proper'' Jost function f̄_(k, 0), i.e., Fredholm determinant for...
