ABSTRACT
To explore the association between three polymorphisms [ C825T, C1429T and G(-350)A] of gene encoding G protein beta 3 subunit (GNB3) hypertension by performing a case-control study in northern Han Chinese population. We recruited 731 hypertensive patients 673 control subjects (the calculated power value was > 0.8). Genotyping performed to identify G(-350)A using TaqMan assay. Comparisons allelic genotypic frequencies cases controls were made chi-square test. Logistic regression analyses investigate relationships GNB3 under different genetic models (additive, dominant recessive models). The genotype distribution allele did not differ significantly subjects, either when full sample assessed, or stratified gender. No significant observed risk essential any model. Linkage disequilibrium only detected C825T polymorphisms. Haplotype that none estimated haplotypes increased hypertension. Our suggested [C825T, associated with population.
