ABSTRACT
Diabetes melitus didefinisikan sebagai penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan hiperglikemia akibat defisiensi insulin atau penurunan efektivitas dan dapat menimbulkan berbagai komplikasi akut maupun kronik. Salah satu obat tradisional mempunyai efek anti diabetik adalah labu kuning ( Cucurbita moschata Durch.) mengandung flavonoid, beta-karoten, vitamin C, E. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui rentang dosis efektif ekstrak air terhadap kadar glukosa darah puasa pada tikus model diabetik. Penelitian bersifat eksperimental laboratorik menggunakan disain rancangan acak lengkap 28 ekor putih jantan galur W istar terbagi dalam empat kelompok yaitu I (diet biasa, induksi aloksan), II aloksan, 56 mg/200 gBB/hari per oral), III 112 IV 224 oral). Pengukuran dilakukan setelah masa adaptasi, diinduksi hari ke-7, ke-14 perlakuan. Data dianalisis uji repeated analysis of varians (ANOVA) lalu dilanjutkan post-hoc Tamhane’s T2. Hasil menunjukan bahwa pemberian gBB/ oral sampai selama 14 menurunkan bermakna. Penurunan diduga karena C PUMPKIN ( CURCUBITA MOSCHATA DURCH. ) TO DECLINE OF BLOOD GLUCOSE FASTING LEVELS IN DIABETIC MICE mellitus defined as syndrome metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia due to deficiency or decreased effectiveness that cause various acute and chronic complications. One the traditional medicines which have anti-diabetic effect is pumpkin contains flavonoids, beta-carotene, The purpose this study determine effects effective dose range water extracts decline blood glucose fasting levels in diabetic mice. This was an experimental research with complete randomized design using white male wistar mice divided into four groups i.e. group (normal diet, alloxan induce), induce, extract at gBW/day orally), induce, orally gBW/day).
