ABSTRACT
Fibrin glue has been widely used in a variety of surgical procedures to promote haemostasis and tissue bonding. It can also be as cell carrier for stem cells on tendons. However, the data about effect fibrin flexor tendon healing is very limited. The present study examined role TISSEEL® rabbit model injury. rabbits were killed 3 or 8 weeks after operation. range-of-motion fingers biomechanical properties tendons measured compared between control group TISSEEL-treated group. findings have shown that was significantly different from at there no significant difference Moreover, results indicate TISSEEL may attenuate adhesion formation early stage repair. features during In conclusion, this it safe use engineering applications regeneration healing.
