ABSTRACT
Objective: This work carried out to investigate the potential therapeutic effect of Neuregulin-1 against cardiotoxicity induced by trastuzumab in male mice. Materials and Methods: Forty five adult female mice (weighing 35-50 gm) were divided into 3 groups randomly, each group contains 15 animals, A which received distilled water as control using intraperitoneal injection (IP) route for 10 days B, Trastuzumab 6 mg/kg/day while C, (2.5 mg/day/animal) just before administration (6mg/kg/day) given IP days. The significance difference tested ANOVA followed Tukey test. Statistical depends on P<0.05. Results: histological score cardiac tissue changes showed that a highly increase administrated with when compared pretreatment , made decrease changing group. percentage immunohistochemical stain uptake TNF-α IL-1β expression shows group, furthermore, pretreated neuregulin-1 staining Conclusion: can be used cardioprotective complications cancer treatment its ability attenuate cardiotoxic decreasing
