ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the effect of cocaine-amphetamine-regulated transcript peptide (CART) on content of4-hydroxy-2-noneral (HNE) and infarct volume after cerebral ischemiaJreperfusion in mice. Methods A total 96 healthy male mice were randomly divided into four groups: ischemla/reperfusion (n =27), CART normal saline control =27) sham operation = 15) groups. middle artery occlusion (MCAO) model was induced. Two hours MCAO, 55-102 equivalent injected respectively via tail veins group group, then they every other 24 hour. The neurological scores, HNE lipid metabolism oxidative stress performed detected at 12, 24, 48 72 reperfusion. Results could significantly improve deficit scores (all P 〈0. 05) reduce different time points ischemia/reperfusion. liNE upregulated referfusion. down-regulate increased level brain ischemia 〈 0. 05).
