Cause of shunt system obstruction and therapeutic effect of ventriculo-peritoneal shunt

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of 65 cases ventriculo-peritoneal shunt,and analyse cause shunt system obstruction to reduce complications and improve efficacy.Methods retrospectively analyze first affiliated hospital Zhengzhou university from August 2010 March 2012.Results Sixty-five had clinical symptoms improved in varying degrees.Five a obstruction,including 2 ventricular end tube blockage,2 valve blockage,1 case peritoneal blockage.After replacing clogged device,5 patients feel relief preoperative symptom went home hospital.Conclusions The has exact various types hydrocephalus,actively prevention cure for obstruction,and an accurate understanding timely treatment complication is important factor determine prognosis patients.
