From 996 to 007: Challenges of Working from Home During the Epidemic in China

ABSTRACT
During the COVID-19 epidemic in China, millions of workers tech companies had to start working from home (WFH). The change was sudden, unexpected and were not ready for it. Additionally, it also first time that WFH experienced on such a large scale. We used opportunity describe effect at scale sustained period time. As lockdown easing, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 12 participants China companies. While first, reported as pleasant experience advantages, e.g. flexible schedule, more family, over time, this evolved into rather negative where all day, every day feel higher workload despite actual being reduced. discuss these results how they could apply other extreme circumstances help improve general.
