ABSTRACT
It was established that after intramuscular administration of thymalinum the activity of glutamate decatboxylase increased and activity of GABA-aminotransferase lowered in mitochondria of the brain ceils Thus, contents of glhutamic and aspartic acids decreased, while gamma-aminobutyric acid increased in the mitochondria of the hypothalamus, cerebellum, visual and motor cortex. Changes in the metabolism of GABA fter the thymalinum action occurred due to the interaction between nervous and immune systems
