ABSTRACT
External apical root resorption is among the most common risks of orthodontic treatment, and it cannot be completely avoided predicted. Risk factors causing can generally divided into patient- treatment-related factors. Root that occurs during treatment usually detected by radiographical examination. Mild or moderate absorption does no obvious harm, but close attention required. When severe occurs, recommended to suspend for 3 months cementum restored. To unify risk its clinical suggestions, we summarized theoretical knowledge experience more than 20 authoritative experts in orthodontics related fields China. After discussion summarization, this consensus was made provide reference practice.
