Carbapenem-resistant hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRhvKP) poses a significant global health threat due to its enhanced virulence and resistance. This study analyzed 5,036 publicly available K. genomes from China (2005–2023), identifying 1,538 CRhvKP genomes, accounting for 44.6% of carbapenem-resistant isolates 69.5% isolates. Predominant carbapenemases included bla KPC (92.1%), with an increasing prevalence NDM OXA-48-like genes. Most (93.6%) carried both aerobactin yersiniabactin...

Laccase, a member of group proteins collectively known as multicopper oxidases, is hypothesized to play an important role in insect cuticle sclerotization by oxidizing catechols the their corresponding quinones, which then catalyze protein cross-linking reactions. Laccase 2 has been proved gene required for beetle tanning through RNA interference (RNAi) experiments on red flour Tribolium castaneum. The pine sawyer beetle, Monochamus alternatus (Coleoptero: Cerambycidae) serving major vector...

PBX1 is a homeodomain protein that functions in complexes with other homeodomain-containing proteins to regulate gene expression during developmental and/or differentiation processes. A yeast two-hybrid screen of fetal liver-hematopoietic cDNA library using PBX1a as bait led the discovery novel non-homeodomain-containing interacts well PBX2 and PBX3. RNA analysis revealed it be expressed CD34+ hematopoietic cell populations enriched primitive progenitors, PBX1; search sequence tag data base...

Natural killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes of the innate immune system that play specialized and niche-specific roles in distinct organs. We investigated possible function NK pathogenesis congestive heart failure after myocardial infarction.Depletion from mice had little effect on cytokine expression (tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin [IL]-6, IL-1β), neutrophil macrophage infiltration into infarcted myocardium, or left ventricular remodeling infarction. However, these exhibited severe...

Background:Uptake of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) by macrophages is recognized as a crucial step in the development atherosclerosis, whereas precise molecular mechanisms involving it remain to be elucidated. Methods and Results:This study focused on determining role toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) Src kinase macrophage lipid accumulation. oxLDL significantly enhanced activity intracellular contents RAW264.7 macrophages, small interference RNA-mediated knockdown TLR4 or chemical...

Abstract The molecules and environment that direct pluripotent stem cell differentiation into cardiomyocytes are largely unknown. Here, we determined a critical role of receptor tyrosine kinase, EphB4, in regulating cardiomyocyte generation from embryonic (ES) cells through endothelial cells. number spontaneous contracting cardiomyocytes, the expression cardiac‐specific genes, including α‐MHC MLC‐2V, was significantly decreased EphB4‐null ES EphB4 expressed underneath but not cardiomyocytes....
