The use of digitalis after acute myocardial infarction is controversial. effect digoxin on computer-quantitated thallium-201 perfusion scintigrams (Tl-201), left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction (EF), and percentage abnormally contracting LV regions (% ACR) was determined in 23 patients. A correlation established between creatine kinase MB isoenzyme release initial radionuclide-gated blood pool wall motion estimates EF (r = -0.73) % ACR 0.71). After radionuclide assessments, 14 patients...
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a syndrome that has been associated with multiple cardiac complications including myopericarditis. The pathophysiology and treatment for myopericarditis in the setting of COVID-19 infection still under investigation. We present case 60-year-old male admitted dyspnoea due to COVID-19. He developed new ST-segment elevation, elevated enzymes, severe left ventricular dysfunction, high inflammatory markers haemodynamic respiratory collapse from viral illness....

Abstract The resting and exercise hemodynamics in seven patients with pericardial constriction one patient cardiac amyloidosis are described. Equalization of left right heart diastolic filling pressures was observed all cases, both at rest during exercise. This hemodynamic response, although typical, should not be considered pathognomonic constriction.
