Metabasite lenses occur within granitic gneiss at Bibong in the southwestern part of Gyeonggi massif, South Korea. metabasites experienced an initial eclogite facies metamorphism (17.0–20.9 kbar, 835°–860°C), which was succeeded by a granulite (11.5–14.6 830°–850°C) and finally overprinted amphibolite (6.7–11.0 570°–740°C). The have Sm‐Nd internal isochron ages 225–258 Ma, major elements display island arc affinity. petrochemical geochronological data suggest massif as extension Triassic...

Study of whole‐rock geochemical and isotope (Sr‐Nd) characteristics Jurassic plutons from South Korea shows differences in chemical compositions that might reflect the tectonic environments East Asia. These are dominated by granites granodiorites with subordinate intermediate monzodiorite to diorite phases. All analyzed samples show depletions Ta‐Nb, P, Ti enrichment large ion lithophile elements, characteristic high‐K calc‐alkaline I‐type granitoids active continental margin. Early fall...

This study presents sensitive high-resolution ion microprobe (SHRIMP) U-Pb zircon ages, K-Ar and whole-rock chemical isotopic (Sr-Nd) compositions of the Early Cretaceous igneous activity in western South Korea. The volcanics plutons yield ages ca. 110 Ma, Albian late Cretaceous. biotite plagioclase are slightly younger, 103 Ma. geochemical signatures rocks characterized by negative Nb, Ta, Ti anomalies, relatively low ϵNd(T) values (between −15.91 −9.36), enrichment light rare earth...

The Qinling Orogen in Central China records the history of a complex geological evolution and tectonic transition from compression to extension during Late Mesozoic, with concomitant voluminous granitoids formation. In this study, we present results petrological, geochemical, zircon U-Pb-Lu-Hf isotopic studies on Lengshui felsic dykes Luanchuan region East Orogen. We also compile published geochronological, Hf data contour maps. newly obtained age yield two group ages at ∼145 Ma 140 for...
