The Sentinel-2 optical satellites provide a global coverage of land surfaces with 5-day revisit time at the Equator. We investigate ability these freely available images to detect precursory motions before rapid landslides. A 9-month time-series displacement is derived from data over major landslide in French Alps, which exhibited sudden reactivation June 2016.
