Studies described in this paper support the view that guanethidine is localized rat heart and spleen by unspecific binding sites specifically concerned with storage of NE. The two types may be distinguished specific uptake measured from amount displaced amphetamine reserpine which selectively displace drug but do not affect sites. are readily saturable on increasing dose these take up a maximum about three molecules for each molecule contained Evidence given blockade adrenergic neurons loss...

We report that gold/zinc oxide (Au/ZnO) nanocomposite films were effectively employed to enhance the performance of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) for detection tumor markers. Carbohydrate antigen 15.3 (CA15-3), a marker breast cancer, was chosen as model analyte. analyzed intensity response samples at various concentrations (0.0125 U/mL 160 U/mL) in pleural fluid evaluate capability SPR biosensor based on Au/ZnO thin films. A colorimetric method for fast, simple, and selective detection of Cu2+ was developed using I--mediated etching triangular gold nanoplates (AuNPLs). The based on our finding that efficiently promoted this in the presence SCN-. process accompanied by a dramatic color change from blue to red, allowing visual spectroscopic with limits 10 1 μM, respectively. When molecular recognition DNA aptamer incorporated into method, chloramphenicol also achieved limit 5 μM.

We combined catalytic gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with an hCG-specific peptide aptamer to create a simple, sensitive, label-free colorimetric assay for hCG. The applications of this biosensor may be expanded by changing the aptamer.

The nonperturbative effect of interaction can sometimes make interacting bosons behave as though they were free fermions. system neutral in a rapidly rotating atomic trap is equivalent to charged coupled magnetic field, which has opened up the possibility fractional quantum Hall for with short-range interaction. Motivated by composite fermion theory electrons, we test idea that map onto noninteracting spinless fermions carrying one vortex each, comparing wave functions incorporating this...

Abstract Due to the high reliability and testing cost of electro-explosive devices, even though an accelerated test is performed, one may observe very few failures or no at all due censoring. In this paper, we consider modelling such devices by exponential lifetime distribution in which failure rate assumed be a function some covariates that observed data are binary. The Bayesian approach, with three different prior settings, used develop inference on rate, under settings. A Monte Carlo...

The authors describe a passive technique for sensing the strain-induced wavelength shift of fibre Bragg grating (FBG) using Mach-Zehnder interferometer that utilises 3 × coupler. Laboratory data show resolution ~10 nε/√Hz RMS is achievable with inherent insensitivity to source intensity variations.
