Semitransparent metal electrodes fabricated by nanoimprint lithography (NIL) in the form of nanoscale periodically perforated films are reported. They show high transmittance visible wavelength range as well excellent electrical conductivities (see figure), and both characteristics can be tuned separately changing aperture ratio thickness. The fabrication organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) incorporating these transparent conducting demonstrates their potential use.

Abstract In the present study, cellulose whiskers were incorporated into nanofibers of polyethylene oxide (PEO) by electrospinning process to enhance mechanical properties electrospun PEO fibers. Cellulose consisting highly crystalline rod‐like particles with a high aspect ratio and specific area obtained acid hydrolysis bacterial microfibrils. From transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images whiskers, their length was measured be 420 ± 190 nm width 11 4 nm. The height 10 2 atomic force...

Asthma in the elderly (aged ≥ 65 years old) is a significant concern with high morbidity, but pathophysiology remains unclear particularly late-onset asthma. Recent studies suggest staphylococcal enterotoxin IgE (SE-IgE) sensitization to be risk factor for asthma general populations; however, associations have not been examined asthma. We aimed examine of SE-IgE elderly, using database cohort study.A total 249 patients and 98 controls were analysed. At baseline, assessed demographics, atopy,...

Abstract Summary: A simple and mass‐producible method was developed to densely assemble multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) onto electrospun nylon 6 nanofibrous membranes. The process consists of dispersing the acid‐treated MWNTs in surfactant solutions or organic solvents, dipping membranes resulting dispersion for only 60 seconds, followed by extraction surfactants pure water drying. conductivity MWNT‐adsorbed ranges from 2.2 × 10 −2 1.5 −1 S · cm , as determined four probe method, which...

We present a simple and mass-producible method of incorporating silver nanoparticles on the surface electrospun silk non-woven membranes for fabrication antimicrobial wound dressings. Nanofibrous with fiber diameters 460±40 nm were from an aqueous Bombyx mori fibroin solution. The prepared by dipping in nitrate (AgNO 3 ) solution (0.5 or 1.0 wt%) followed photoreduction. Field emission scanning transmission electron microscopy showed that generated nanofibers as well inside them. interaction...

We present an optical scheme for a SWAP test (controlled swap operation) that can determine whether the difference between two unknown states (photons) using cross-Kerr nonlinearities (XKNLs). The test, based on quantum fingerprinting, has been widely applied to various information processing (QIP) schemes. Thus, reliable QIP scheme, it is important implement experimentally feasible. Here, we utilize linearly and nonlinearly (XKNLs) gates design test. also analyze efficiency performance of...

BNNTs were functionalized by using a polymer that includes pyridine group, which can undergo dipole interactions with boron atoms in BNNTs. The well-dispersed an alcohol solvent, whereas hexagonal nitride impurities precipitated, due presumably to stacked structures. After purification processes, acid was added solution contained prevent pyridine-boron through stronger acid-base interactions. Thus, the bound easily separated, and purified could be obtained process.

Organic anode materials have garnered attention for use in rechargeable Li-ion batteries (LIBs) owing to their lightweight, cost-effectiveness, and tunable properties. However, challenges such as high electrolyte solubility limited conductivity, restrict full-cell LIBs.
