Polysilsesquioxanes are regarded as organic–inorganic hybrid materials at a molecular level. We can readily tune the properties of for realizing desired ones by changing contents or types organic components. In addition, hierarchical structures have potential generating further characteristics distinctly different from those constituents. From this viewpoint, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) is attractive cornerstone in highly ordered materials. review, we survey recent studies on...
This paper describes the amino acid sequence of rat substance P receptor and its comparison with that K on basis molecular cloning analysis. From a brain cDNA library constructed an RNA expression vector, we identified mixture containing functional by examining electrophysiologically following injection mRNAs synthesized in vitro into Xenopus oocytes. A clone was then isolated cross-hybridization bovine cDNA. The confirmed selective binding to cloned expressed mammalian COS cells. deduced...
Abstract The emission process of the o ‐carborane dyad with anthracene originating from twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) state in crystalline is described. anthracene‐ was synthesized and its optical properties were investigated. Initially, had aggregation‐ crystallization‐induced enhancement (AIEE CIEE) via (ICT) state. Interestingly, presented dual‐emissions assigned to both locally excited (LE) ICT states solution. From mechanistic studies computer calculations, it indicated...
Abstract The concept and representative examples of “element-block polymers” are described. A structural unit consisting various groups elements is called an “element-block.” In this review, unique properties composed organoboron complexes, o-carboranes, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes as typical element blocks illustrated. design synthesis new element-blocks development methods forming higher-order structures for realizing the desired functions based on a bottom-up approach explained.
In this article, we report the unique optical characteristics of boron diiminates in solid states. We synthesized exhibiting aggregation-induced emission (AIE). From series measurements, it was revealed that properties state should be originated from suppression molecular motions diiminate units. The colors were modulated by substitution effects (λ(PL,crystal) = 448-602 nm, λ(PL,amorphous) 478-645 nm). Strong phosphorescence observed some deriving two imine groups. Notably, found showed...
A series of boron ketoiminate derivatives that exhibited clear aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics (in THF: Φ(PL)≤0.01; in the solid state: Φ(PL)=0.30-0.76) were prepared by reactions 1,3-enaminoketone with trifluoride-diethyl etherate. The structures and optical properties investigated UV-visible spectroscopy, photoluminescent (PL) X-ray single-crystal measurements. These results indicate AIE derived from molecular motions boron-chelating rings a boron-nitrogen (B-N) bond....
We report a series of mechanofluorochromic (MFC) compounds based on organoboron complexes with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics. synthesized variety boron ketoiminates and investigated the effect substituents optical properties by altering end groups in compounds. The showed AIE MFC behavior. Interestingly, hypsochromic bathochromic shifts bands individually observed for depended chemical structures groups. From X-ray diffraction differential scanning calorimetry analyses,...
A conceptually new logic gate based on DNA has been devised. Methoxybenzodeazaadenine (MDA), an artificial nucleobase which we recently developed for efficient hole transport through DNA, formed stable base pairs with T and C. However, a reasonable hole-transport efficiency was observed in the reaction duplex containing MDA/T pair, whereas strongly suppressed using where opposite MDA replaced by The influence of complementary pyrimidines quite contrary to selectivity G. orthogonality...
The oxidative stress response of rice cytosolic ascorbate peroxidase (APX) was examined. transcript level APX significantly increased when suspension cultures germinating embryos were treated with paraquat (7.9-fold) or H2O2 (6.1-fold). Induction by reached a maximum at 8 h. peaked earlier 4 h treatment. This result suggests that the induction might be caused generated from superoxide. Treatment superoxide dismutase inhibitor, diethyldithiocarbamate, which is supposed to decrease cellular...
Abstract Our work on the characteristics of organoboron‐containing polymers is reviewed. The electronic interaction and correlation involving organoboron complexes are responsible for optical electric properties polymers. To understand origins these apply them to next generation new materials, we have gathered not only fundamental knowledge states behaviors each complex in but also functions devices. In this article, introduce our findings obtained from a series studies cyclodiborazane,...

The synthesis and application of organoboron complexes are a highly relevant topic owng to their unique characteristics. Based on emissive properties, these have been used make novel optical materials devices; boron β-diketonate is simple robust complex. From series recent studies, versatile properties reported. In this review, we introduce the results primarily studies diketonate related compounds containing polymers particularly explain properties. Initially, multi-emission derivatives its...
Abstract Organoboron complexes having aggregation‐ and crystalization‐induced emission properties are presented. The series of boron diiminates were synthesized the behaviors compounds investigated. Finally, it was found that significant enhancement depended on crystallinity in solid states.
We report the synthesis of a stable room-temperature ionic liquid consisting an octacarboxy polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) anion and imidazolium cation. The introduction POSS moiety enhances thermal stability reduces melting temperature. From evaluation thermodynamic parameters during melting, it was found that rigidity cubic structure can contribute to enhancement these properties.
The molecular design based on o-carborane dyads is described for preparing multifunctional luminescent molecules such as dual emissions, aggregation and crystallization-induced emission enhancements, color changes. pyrene-substituted were synthesized via the insertion reaction between decaborane 1-ethynylpyrene in presence of Lewis base a good yield. Finally, extremely bright compounds with solid-state properties (ΦPL > 0.99) obtained.
Abstract In this article, we describe the structure–property relationships between polyoctahedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) fillers and thermomechanical properties of polymer composites using polystyrene, poly(methyl methacrylate), ethylene‐(vinyl acetate) copolymer. We used eight kinds octa‐substituted aliphatic aromatic POSS as a filler, homogeneous were prepared with various concentrations these fillers. From series measurements thermal mechanical composites, it was summarized that...
The control of luminescence properties between fluorescence aggregation-caused quenching and aggregation-induced emission with or without a chemical bond at single site in boron complexes was accomplished.
This manuscript reports synthesis and efficient solid-state luminescent properties of anthracenyl–o-carborane dyads with various substituents.
Fused azobenzene-boron complexes (BAzs) show highly efficient near-infrared (NIR) emission from the nitrogen-nitrogen double bond (N=N) containing π-conjugated copolymer. Optical measurements showed that BAz worked as a strong electron acceptor because of intrinsic deficiency N=N and boron-nitrogen (B-N) coordination which dramatically lowered energy lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) azobenzene ligand. The simple donor-acceptor (D-A) type copolymer bithiophene (BT) exhibited intense...
