The familiar state space averaging technique for DC–DC converters is extended modelling a three-phase AC–DC convertor without current sensor. vector representation used to simplify greatly the process sacrificing accuracy and valid frequency range. Both steady-state small-signal analyses are made. results show that proposed duty ratio control law can achieve an ideal property, namely, sinusoidal input with unity power factor, zero output voltage ripple resulting from line fixed switching...

A reversible three-phase switching mode rectifier consisting of a four-active-switch and without current sensor is proposed. To achieve controllable power factor, clean sinusoidal input current, adjustable DC output voltage, bidirectional flow capability, closed-form pulse width modulation (PWM) duty cycle function derived. The popularly used state space averaging technique extended for modelling the rectifier. vector representation then to simplify process sacrificing accuracy valid...

In the paper, a new method is presented for solving algebraic Riccati equations. The proposed possesses an almost globally convergent characteristic and, hence, very suitable finding equation solution of ill conditioned control system. simple and easy to implement. Some typical numerical examples are also given illustration.

The increasing deployment of large-scale wind turbines in place conventional generators is expected to lead the dominance asynchronous power sources future systems, further accelerating trend toward grid electrification. As a result, ability support system voltage and frequency gradually diminishing. Synchronous condensers (SC), which are synchronous machines operating without prime movers, serve as effective devices for providing both dynamic inertia. They can significantly enhance...

A rather simple ROM-based current controller is proposed for a three-phase boost-type AC/DC converter to achieve clean sinusoidal input current, controllable power factor, an adjustable DC voltage, bidirectional flow capability, fixed switching frequency and one insensitive voltage distortion. Three control schemes are integrated in the same controller. As well as basic scheme, there further two choices either reducing almost half switch loss or enhancing availability of converter, while arm...
