In this paper we use a recently suggested analytical solution of the pulse propagation equation in free-electron lasers (FEL) to get further information on lethargy and velocity optical packet. We also introduce refractive index for FEL interaction. Finally, supermodes relevant regime long electron bunch are found analytically comparison with earlier numerical results is carried out.
In this paper, the use of lithium fluoride (LiF) as imaging radiation detector to analyse living cells by single-shot soft X-ray contact microscopy is presented. High resolved images on LiF cyanobacterium Leptolyngbya VRUC135, two unicellular microalgae genus Chlamydomonas and mouse macrophage (line RAW 264.7) have been obtained utilizing in water window energy range from a laser plasma source. The used method based loading samples, cell suspension, special holder where they are close with...
In this paper we discuss the theory of emission by relativistic electrons in linearly polarized undulators. We show that analytical computations are greatly simplified introduction so-called generalized Bessel functions, originally introduced to treat problems for which dipolar approximation does not hold. also modification induced brightness inclusion sextupolar terms, arise when injected off undulator axis. phenomonology inherent problem is very rich, as additional harmonics come into play...
The coherence properties of a $46.9\text{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{nm}$ soft-x-ray laser beam produced in capillary discharge plasma have been investigated. is regime that free from the effect refraction defocusing, with divergence only $0.5--0.6\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{mrad}$. channels length $45\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{cm}$, where Fresnel number gain medium order unity. full energy about $300\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{J}$. spatial has experimentally...
Multi-walled nanotube (MWNT) functionalisation was investigated by surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). The MWNTs were deposited as dilute dispersions on SERS-active substrates. We used nano-structured gold surfaces with various morphologies for our measurements. surface enhancement effect to amplify the signal from functional molecules bound walls. recorded spectral features allowed discrimination between differently functionalised MWNTs. Although present study is limited a few...
Stable color center production in lithium fluoride crystals has been applied to single-shot high-spatial-resolution imaging of a 2 ns long, 46.9 nm capillary discharge soft-X-ray laser pulse. Images the unfocused beam and focused by multi-layer mirror were recorded. The LiF crystal sensitivity was sufficient impress high-contrast photo-luminescent patterns with single-pulse irradiation on an area up 40 mm2. Interference fringes due coherence observed. results demonstrate potential films as...
The stabilization of nonlinear excitations by noise is a topic fundamental importance in many physical problems. We discuss genuine example within the context storage ring-free electron laser physics, presenting model which allows characterization system evolution and determination conditions leading to suppression instabilities sawtooth type. conclusions are confirmed comparison with experimental results on Super Aco Storage Ring-Free Electron Laser.
An innovative solution for the Schwarzschild optic, based on a modification of position object, is proposed. This allows one to reach larger numerical aperture and hence better resolution compared with standard configuration optics. Furthermore, we propose an analytical that optical system be designed without need any ray-tracing software.
Spectra have been recorded from a Xe discharge capillary source in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) region of spectrum, between 10 and 18 nm. Features due to 4d–4f 4d–5p transitions range ions observed, with emission Xe8+–Xe12+ clearly identified spectrum. The power emitted into bands EUV has measured effects on spectrum adding SnO2 In2O3 powders quantified. influence indium particular, is increase 14.3 nm by as much 30% over pure xenon
Abstract Two perfluoroaryl sulfonates were tested as initiators for the extreme ultraviolet (EUV)‐promoted polymerization of silica‐based hybrid organic‐inorganic films containing epoxy moieties. One was able to strongly improve efficiency in materials and behaved much better than commercial photoacid generator diphenylsulfonium (4‐phenylthiophenyl)diphenylsulfonium triflate. Furthermore, lithographic patterns with sub‐micrometric resolutions achieved by irradiating resists selected...
We report micro-Raman spectroscopy, high-resolution scanning electron microscopy (HR-SEM) and atomic force (AFM) investigation of changes in chemical vapor deposition grown single-layer graphene structure induced by extreme ultraviolet (EUV) irradiation. found that the exposures at doses up to 200 mJ/cm2 result appearance D D′ bands related defects lattice. The evolution G band intensity ratio follows first stage amorphization trajectory, which indicates transformation pristine...
We present a novel electro-optical solar compass that is able to determine the true North direction with an accuracy better than 1/100 of degree, superior any other magnetic or electronic does not resort differential GPS. The has sensor line sight Sun and simple but effective algorithm calculate position Sun. excellent results obtained during experimental tests demonstrate advantages this compass, which also compact expensive.
