While the COVID-19 epidemic occurred since December 2019, as of end April 2020, no treatment has been validated or invalidated by accurate clinical trials. Use hydroxychloroquine popularised on mass media and put forward a valid option without strong evidence efficacy. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) its own side effects, some which are very serious like acute haemolysis in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficient patients. Side effects may be worse than disease itself. Belgian national...

Non-typhoidal Salmonella (NTS) disease is usually a self-limiting infection presenting with digestive symptoms. However, disseminated presentation involvement of secondary infectious sites observed. We report diagnostic specificities and challenges related to the management three patients invasive NTS (iNTS) locations. Among seven (age range 46 - 83 years), four (two extra-digestive sites) had at least one immune debilitating condition. Two were incidentally discovered iNTS deceased after...

Q fever is a worldwide zoonotic infection caused by Coxiella burnetii. In Belgium, the disease must be notified, and incidence low. Human contamination mostly due to sheep goats. Herein, we report case of chronic presenting as prolonged in patient with history valve prosthesis. Blood culture-negative endocarditis was diagnosed through an assessment including echocardiography systematic serological testing. Despite absence travel abroad or obvious contact domestic wildlife animals, C....

Streptobacillus moniliformis is a zoonotic agent associated with rat bites. We present patient cellulitis, subcutaneous abscess, and septic mono-arthritis after bite of the right hand. The had no systemic features fever (RBF). S. was cultured from purulent drainage thumb abscess. This case illustrates an unusual clinical presentation streptobacillary infection bite.

To our knowledge, this is the first description of a cytomegalovirus end-organ infection complicating severe COVID-19 disease in an immunocompetent host. Suspicion threshold for opportunistic coinfections should be lowered COVID-19. Serum CMV polymerase chain reaction and colonoscopy discussed presence persistent digestive disturbances.
