Seventeen cases of collodion baby are reported. Clinical aspects, complications, treatment, final outcome and family history were studied. We did not observe any clinical features in the that could serve as a clue predicting diagnosis. Infections observed nine, hypothermia five hypernatraemic dehydration four cases. Skin infection mainly occurred babies treated with emollients (petrolatum, lanolin cetomacrogolis cream used). therefore recommend treating humidified incubator, if necessary...

Mastocytosis is characterized by an increased number of mast cells with abnormal growth and accumulation in one or more organs. In most children mastocytosis limited to the skin (cutaneous mastocytosis) often transient as compared that adults whom usually progressive systemic. Generally, we recognize three common forms cutaneous mastocytosis: maculopapulous (formerly urticaria pigmentosa), mastocytoma skin, diffuse mastocytosis. Childhood can further be divided into (nonpersisting...

As far as we are aware, these variants have not yet been reported. Design: We undertook a case controlled analysis 8 children with DCM. Results laboratory testing including mast cell mediator levels, and symptoms presentation during follow-up were analyzed. Results: The levels...

As a part Aalst Allergy Study, we assessed prevalence different BMI categories (underweight, normal weight, overweight, and obesity) possible association between atopy in 1576 unselected Belgian schoolchildren, aged from 3.4 to 14.8 yr. was used determine weight status. Skin prick testing with most common aeroallergens performed. A parental questionnaire documented data respiratory disorders,...

IgE‐mediated contact urticaria syndrome (CUS) is one of the manifestations allergy in childhood atopic dermatitis (AD). Allergens such as foods and animal products penetrate skin easily. They can then cause urticarial reactions sensitized individuals. A provocation test system for foods, called application food (SAFT), has been developed. Over more than 5 years, a group 175 patients with AD was built‐up investigated prospective follow‐up study SAFT. SAFT frequently positive children aged 6–2...

Our identified 23.3% a considerable allergic co‐morbidity, mainly sensitized children. The reported infancy was 18.5% for current 11.6%. overall sensitization rate...
