We experimentally investigated the effect of TeO2 on radiation-shielding competence a BaO–MoO3–B2O3 glass system. Two gamma-ray sources (137Cs and 166Ho) scintillator detector (sodium iodide (NaI(Tl)) were utilized to measure attenuation factors prepared at 0.184, 0.280, 0.662, 0.710, 0.810 MeV. The measured mass coefficient agreed well with theoretically calculated values for all samples. linear (LAC) results demonstrated that as photon energy increased, penetrating ability photons through...

Abstract Pulsed laser‐induced autofluorescence spectroscopic studies of pathologically certified normal, premalignant, and malignant oral tissues were carried out at 325 nm excitation. The spectral analysis classification for discrimination among conditions performed using principal component (PCA) artificial neural network (ANN) separately on the same set data. In case PCA, residuals, Mahalanobis distance, scores factors used cases. ANN, parameters like mean, residual, standard deviation,...

Prolonged duration of the diabetes may affect tiny blood vessels retina causing diabetic retinopathy. Routine eye screening patients with helps to detect retinopathy at early stage. It is very laborious and time-consuming for doctors go through many fundus images continuously. Therefore, decision support system detection can reduce burden ophthalmologists. In this work, we have used discrete wavelet transform vector machine classifier automated normal classes. The wavelet-based decomposition...

The spectral analysis and classification for discrimination of pulsed laser-induced autofluorescence spectra pathologically certified normal, premalignant, malignant oral tissues recorded at a 325-nm excitation are carried out using MATLAB@R6-based principal component (PCA) k-means nearest neighbor (k-NN) separately on the same set data. Six features such as mean, median, maximum intensity, energy, residuals, standard deviation extracted from each spectrum 60 training samples (spectra)...

We analyzed the mechanical properties and radiation-shielding performance of a lithium zinc bismuth silicate glass system. The composition these glasses is 20ZnO-30Li2O-(50-x)SiO2-xBi2O3 (x varies between 10 40 mol%). investigated system, such as Young's modulus (E), bulk (K), shear (S), longitudinal (L), were determined using Makishima-Mackenzie model. elastic moduli gradually decreased with addition Bi2O3. E from 46 to 31 GPa, K 27 14 S 19 L 52 32 GPa Bi2O3 was substituted for SiO2. mass...

The glass system of B2O3-SiO2-TeO2-Bi2O3-ZnO-BaO doped with Gd2O3 (x = 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 mol%) (BiTeGd-x) was prepared by using the melt-quench technique. density glasses increased from 5.323–5.579 g cm−3 for 0–4 mol% an increase in concentration. simulation results obtained Photon Shielding Dosimetry (PSD) software (Phy-X version) produced maximum mass attenuation coefficient (MAC) minimum half-value layer (HVL) entire photon energy spectrum 0.015–15 MeV, suggesting highest potential...
