Abstract Using 20.3 fb -1 of e + - annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we report an improved search for radiative leptonic decay D →γe ν . An upper limit on its partial branching fraction photon energies E γ >10 MeV is determined to be 1.2×10 -5 90% confidence level, which excludes most current theoretical predictions.
