The accurate quantification of food allergens is crucial for ensuring consumer safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. A proficiency test (PT) was organised to evaluate the performance laboratories in quantifying total egg milk protein cookies. PT involved 20 laboratories, which reported results using mainly commercial ELISA kits liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). findings indicate a satisfactory determination among majority participant laboratories....

This manuscript presents the results of International Measurement Evaluation Programme 40 (IMEP-40) study, a proficiency test (PT) which was organised to assess worldwide performance laboratories for determination trace elements in seawater. PT supports implementation European Union Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC, aims at achieving long-term high level protection aquatic environment, covering lakes, ground water and coastal waters. Forty-six participants reported results. The item...

This manuscript presents the results of International Measurement Evaluation Programme 37 (IMEP-37) study, a proficiency test (PT) which was organised to assess world-wide performance food control laboratories on determination pesticide residues in grapes. PT supports implementation Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 maximum residue levels pesticides or and feed plant animal origin. Eighty-one participants reported results, forty from EU Member States forty-one outside EU. The item grape sample...

The outcome of a proficiency test (PT) organised by the European Union Reference Laboratory for Food Contact Materials (EURL-FCM) is presented. PT was set up to assess analytical performance National Laboratories (NRLs) and Official Control (OCLs) in determination mass fractions polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polybutylene (PBT) cyclic dimers trimers official food simulant D1 containing ethanol water (50:50 v/v). EURL-FCM had developed validated an method based on HPLC-UV monitor...

The development and validation of an optimized capillary electrophoresis method for the determination metacycline in presence its related substances by is shown. influence methanol as organic modifier, buffer pH, concentration, length, column temperature, Triton X-100 methyl-beta-cyclodextrin was investigated. A central composite design performed order to optimize method. optimal separation conditions were: uncoated fused-silica (39 cm total 31 effective 50 microm ID); background electrolyte...

A CE method for metacycline (MTC) determination was investigated in an inter-laboratory experiment. Many problems were encountered this study, most of which related to the transfer different equipment. The reported could be classified into categories: precision, parameters protocol, and MTC peak shape. As shape problem partially responsible poor a new developed order obtain good on all precision examined intermediate where influence factors "time" "equipment" investigated. Although...

When routine laboratories merge or are taken over by larger entities, their quality management systems usually need to be integrated. In many laboratories, according ISO/IEC 17025 in place. The integration of the is often advantageous terms efficiency operations, reduction number processes and consequently amount documentation. However, a practical problems, some them hard overcome, may encountered. Examples are: how deal with multi-site activities showing technical and/or cultural...

We describe an intermediate precision study on a capillary electrophoretic (CE) method for chlortetracycline. It is shown how in one setup the influence of factors time, analyst, and equipment can be investigated. As different types CE equipments were included, transferability could examined. Both qualitative quantitative aspect was that small adaptations conditions have large transferability. Although transferred to equipments, found poor when between-equipment variability taken into...
