Abstract Herein, the influence of ash adhesion characteristics on slagging Zhundong high‐calcium coal (ZDc) has been firstly investigated via a self‐designed measuring instrument. The results demonstrate that early appearance and rapid growth in strength ZDc are important reasons for its serious furnace, temperature plays an role between metal.
