Conventional welding processes often fail to provide adequate joints in high strength steels with multiphase microstructures. One of the promising techniques is laser beam welding: working without filler metal and sufficient capacity for automotive transportation industry (where amount AHSS increases each year, as well length welds). The paper compares microstructures properties HSS (high steel) made by MAG (Metal Active Gas) welding. effects main parameters (heat input, speed others) are...

A 5-year experience with the glutaraldehyde-stabilized freeze-dried radiation-sterilized calf pericardium used as a dural substitute is reported. The structure of xenograft compared other collagenous materials for duraplasty (allogeneic fascia lata and dura mater) by light electron microscopy. special neurosurgical techniques involved in using xenografts reconstruction suboccipital mater children are presented detail.

Using Rat-401 monoclonal antibody and peroxidase immunohistochemistry we have detected IF nestin in developing adult rat tissues. Although epitope recognized by is relatively resistant to aldehyde f ixation paraffin embedding, the embedding of tissue samples into polyester wax microwave antigen retrieval histological sections enabled us enhance sensitivity immunohistochemical detection identify cells expressing low levels nestin. Our findings confirm that predominantly distributed neural,...

The authors report on their 2 1/2-year clinical experience using a dural substitute, ovine pericardium, stabilized with 0.3% glutaraldehyde, flat freeze-dried, and sterilized gamma-irradiation. Packaging of the pericardium in double-plastic transparent bags allows simple storage operating rooms opportunity for surgeon to choose an ideal graft according its shape, size, plasticity. pericardia were examined histologically by transmission scanning electron microscopy native, irradiated forms....

The present paper explores the impact of laser cladding parameters on corrosion behaviour resulting surface. Powders Inconel 625 and austenitic Metco 41C steel were deposited substrate. It was confirmed that level dilution has profound resistance to be minimized. However, chemical composition is altered even in course process, a fact which related increase substrate temperature. process optimized achieve maximum resistance. results verified validated using microscopic observation, analysis testing.

Pipeline transport uses millions of kilometers pipes worldwide to liquid or gas over long distances the point consumption. High demands are placed, especially on hazardous substances under high pressure (gas, oil, etc.). Mostly seamless steel various diameters used, but their production is expensive. The use laser-welded could significantly reduce cost building new pipelines. However, sufficient mechanical properties need be ensured for welded meet stringent requirements. Therefore, 10 mm...
