The paper investigates the possibility of using Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms in assessing exposure to electromagnetic radiation emitted by sources specific 3G and 4G generations. Critical parameters SDR that can limit their performance are sampling frequency receiving resolution analog digital converter (ADC). performed tests showed 8-bit ADC has an influence on amplitude's dynamic range, i.e. when evaluating high-level signals (greater than -40 dBm), accuracy is consistently...

Abstract We present a short analysis of the prediction quality offered by Radio Mobile application when used for frequency band TETRA systems in Romania. The simulation results provided were compared against own measurements made multiple locations Sibiu city. correlation coefficient between simulated and measured values signal power was 0.907 while maximum variation data strings 9.6 dB average standard deviation 4.4 dB. These indicate that radio propagation model ‘Two-ray Irregular Terrain...

The paper is focused on the electromagnetic exposure assessment in proximity of a Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) terminal. For first time distinct measurements electric field component (E) and magnetic (H) are presented distance range 8-20 cm. results show that E-field has greater prevalence exposure. Maximum values 100% for E, 17% H respectively were encountered near terminal, if compared to occupational limits given ICNIRP protective guidelines.
