Floods have occurred frequently all over the world. During 2000–2020, nearly half (44.9%) of global floods in Belt and Road region because its complex geology, topography, climate. Therefore, providing an insight into spatial distribution characteristics flood susceptibility this is essential. Here, a database was established with 11 conditioning factors, 1500 flooded points, non-flooded points selected by improved method. Subsequently, rare combination logistic regression support vector...

Abstract. Floods have occurred frequently all over the world. During 2000–2020, nearly half (44.9 %) of global floods in Belt and Road region because its complex geology, topography, climate. However, degree flood susceptibility each sub-region country remains unclear. Here, based on 11 condition factors, support vector machine (SVM) model was used to generate a map. Then, we introduced comprehensive index (FSCI) for first time quantify levels sub-regions countries region. The results reveal...

Flash flood is one of the most devastating types disasters. Roads are linear strip structures exposed to natural environment and they vulnerable damage when flash occurs. Thus, an accurate assessment vulnerability for roads mandatory improvement transportation forecasting warnings. In this study, we constructed model assessing based on their exposure disaster reduction capability. Then, considering mechanism floods acting road, preliminarily established index system with analytic hierarchy...

Flash flood can cause dramatic damages to the infrastructure of transportation networks. Because uncertainty flash floods and access function roads, assessing impact on systems has been a great challenge. In this study, we proposed framework for evaluating risk posed by network, which considers interruption probability road links expected transportation. To assess interruption, used random forest model output susceptibility. Then, multiple centrality was evaluate when link interrupted. The...

The authors present a multigrid method for solving the one-dimensional (1-D) slab-geometry $S_N $ equations with isotropic scattering and no absorption. This scheme is highly compatible massively parallel computer architectures represents first step toward similar methods in curvilinear multidimensional geometries. Extensive theoretical analyses are given our which indicate that it extremely efficient. In fact, so efficient very nearly an exact solution technique. Results from calculations...

Climate change, population increase, and urban expansion have increased the risk of flooding. Therefore, accurately identifying future changing patterns in flood is essential. For this purpose, study elaborated a new framework for basin scale that employs land-use simulation model, factor spatialization technique, novel hybrid model scenario-based assessment 2030 2050. Three scenarios (i.e., natural growth scenario, cropland protection ecological scenario) were set applied Jinjiang Basin to...

A multigrid method for solving the one-dimensional slab-geometry ${\text{S}}_N $ equations with isotropic scattering and absorption is presented. The case no was treated in part I of this paper [Manteuffel, McCormick, Morel, Oliveira, Yang, SIAM J. Sci. Comput., 16 (1995), pp. 601–635]. Abstract Floods are one of the most serious natural disasters. Flood disaster losses in developing countries Belt and Road region more than twice global average. However, to date, extent vulnerability Region remains poorly understood. This study sought address this knowledge gap. In study, flood throughout was evaluated by adopting triangular fuzzy number-based analytic hierarchy process (TFN-AHP) support vector machine (SVM) model. According results, areas (47,105,300 km 2 ) is low or...
