Use of essential oils for controlling Candida albicans growth has gained significance due to the resistance acquired by pathogens towards a number widely-used drugs. The aim this study was test antifungal activity selected against in liquid and vapour phase determine chemical composition mechanism action most potent oil. Minimum Inhibitory concentration (MIC) different phase, assayed through agar plate dilution, broth dilution & 96-well micro method evaluated disc volatilization method....

Bladder cancer is the fourth and eighth most common in men women USA, respectively. Flavonoid phytochemicals are being studied for both prevention therapy of various human malignancies including bladder cancer. One such naturally occurring flavonoid silibinin isolated from milk thistle. Here, we assessed effect on transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) growth, cycle modulation apoptosis induction, associated molecular alterations, employing two different lines representing high-grade invasive...

The aqueous leaf extract of Jatropha curcas was used for the synthesis silver nanoparticles (Jc-AgNps) which were further evaluated its antibacterial potential against food borne pathogens. J. could synthesize stable (Zeta potential: -23.4 mV) with absorption band at 430 nm. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy indicated various biological compounds responsible capping and stabilizing Jc-AgNps in suspension, while presence authenticated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped...

In a search of new compounds active against cancer, synthesis series C-5 curcumin analogues was carried out. The demonstrated good cytotoxicity chronic myeloid leukemia (KBM5) and colon cancer (HCT116) cell lines. Further, these were found to have better potential inhibit TNF- α -induced NF- κ B activation in comparison curcumin, which show their act as anti-inflammatory agents. Some higher lines used standard.

Stress responses are critical for estrogen (E2)-induced apoptosis in E2-deprived breast cancer cells. Nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) is an important therapeutic target to prevent stress chronic inflammatory diseases including cancer. However, whether E2 activates NF-κB participate stress-associated cells unknown. Here, we demonstrated that differentially modulates activity according treatment time. initially has significant potential suppress activation; it completely blocks tumor necrosis...
