The taxonomic status of 94 nominal species Noctuoidea from Cuba described by Herrich-Schäffer, and two Gundlach is discussed. Type material 49 preserved in Coll. Gundlach, Instituto de Ecologia y Sistemática, Havana, evaluated. Seventy names Herrich-Schäffer are recognized, one genus name 39 synonymized, 16 new combinations, four reinstated synonyms recalled synonymy established.
